Well would you ever have thought it?

What is Sheep Poo PaperTM ?

The ultimate in recycling! They don't cut down trees to make their paper, unlike the vast majority of other papermakers. Nearly all paper is made from cellulose fibre, which does involve cutting down trees and extensive chemical processing. At last there is an alternative for people who use paper but don't want to be responsible for the death of a tree - they (and we) like trees!

How is Sheep Poo PaperTM made?

In the magical, mystical (and often rainy!) mountains of Wales sheep droppings are collected. A sheep only digests 50% of everything it swallows, so once the droppings are sterilised and washed clean a good amount of usable papermaking fibre remains - all pre-processed by that lovely sheep! mixed with broken up waste rags and other recycled fibres and processed using traditional papermaking techniques the resulting papers are beautiful and distinctive.

What about the washing water?

What makes Sheep Poo PaperTM products really truly environmentally sensitive is that the 'waste' water from the washing process is returned to productivity as fertiliser. This means that everything that comes into the papermill goes out as a usable product - a Zero Waste, low energy consumption manufacuring operation.

So why not send a birthday or greeting card to family, friends or a loved one - made out of sheep droppings?

What a great talking point next time you have a visitor in the car and they see an air freshener made out of sheep droppings that smells so sweet!
